Environmental initiatives:
Preventing unnecessary idle running
Under the headline ‘You get nowhere by idling!’ Articon has launched an initiative, which highlights unnecessary idle running of the company’s vehicles and machinery. Idling is a waste of fuel and it causes air pollution, smell and noise. We must use energy sensibly and the aim of the imitative is to prevent all unnecessary pollution of the environment.
As part of this initiative two posters have been produced, which describe the current situation in the company. They also include advice on how to reduce unnecessary idling. The posters will be put up at all ArtiCon building sites. Stickers have also been produced, which will be put up in all ArtiCon’s vehicles to remind people to switch the engine off. The idea is that it is largely a matter of shifting mentality and replacing bad habits with good ones.
A polluted environment affects us all, and ArtiCon wants to add its grain of sand to ensuring that we minimise pollution.
