On May 12^th 2016, Sørvágur Municipality put out a tender for a new wooden quay. Two companies entered bids. Articon won the tender and signed a contract on June 15^th 2016.

Work commenced on September 5^th 2016.

The project entailed replacing the 50-year-old wooden quay with a new wooden quay.

On March 15^th  2017 the quay was delivered to Sørvágur Municipality.
